Horses don’t migrate in any winter

The play “Horses Never Migrate in Winter” was staged in May 2025, directed by Moein Khadivi and Tabassom Entezari, at Medea Hall of Tehran Theater. The performance tells the story of three groups of migrants who have turned to migration in search of a better life. With a deeply human and impactful perspective, it portrays the problems and challenges they face in refugee camps, familiarizing the audience with the real struggles and concerns of this experience. When the Cicadas Neigh February 17 – February 26, 2016 Hozeh Honari — Mehr Theater Hall Synopsis: Ehtesham Khan and Ameh Khanom, two surviving members of the Qajar tribe, decide to hire a nurse named Leila in order to preserve their lineage and continue their lives. Eventually, Leila marries Ehtesham Khan, who is disabled. Before long, Leila — representing the modern age — takes over the position once held by Ameh Khanom. Now, she has become the Qajar dictator of the mansion.
